In 2019, after signing with Bugatti, Jacob Arabo announced his plan to “build an unrivalled super sports car-style timepiece”. Few could have guessed that he meant transferring the engine to the wrist.

Jacob & Co started paying tribute to their new partner with a chronograph and the watchmaker’s standard double triple-axis tourbillon, and now they have launched a replica swiss Watches with a Bugatti engine on the dial.
This model has been launched in several versions, including one designed for the car’s premiere. But the arrival of the new Bugatti Tourbillon has been warmly welcomed.
Interestingly, the news of Bugatti’s first hybrid supercar (named after a Breguet invention) noted that the car’s dashboard was developed in collaboration with the movement maker Concepto. A few days later, the new watch, the Jacob & Co. Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon, was unveiled.

The watchmaker drilled 16 cylinders in a large transparent sapphire and fitted them with tiny titanium pistons. When the starter button (integrated in the winding crown) is pressed, the engine cylinders start for exactly 20 seconds.
The engine is controlled by the JCAM55 movement, which consists of 557 parts and is equipped with a 30-second tourbillon and retrograde indications for the hours and minutes.
The case is made of black DLC-coated titanium (52 mm × 44 mm × 15 mm) and is fitted with sapphire crystals on the sides, so it looks exactly like the car. Here you can also find the horseshoe grille borrowed from the car. Even the winding crown adopts the control knob of Bugatti.
